Abstract
The total WBC values in the cerebrospinal fluid from 507 children who had no evidence of CNS pathology ranging in age from newborn to fifteen years have been evaluated, and observations were made on the changes in their values as related to age, sex, and presence of seizure.
The total WBC values were highest for CSF obtained from patients in younger age groups and there was a tendency to decrease as age increase.
The mean value of CSF total WBC for all age groups was 1.46¡¾2.09/L.
There were no significant differences in CSF total WBC values between patients who hail seizures and those who did not, and between both sexes.
